PPS Syracuse Board

Our History

We are an all-volunteer grassroots organization that began in 1998 as an independent district-wide parent voice. We seek to encourage reform and meaningful parent involvement at all levels. We strive to bring about systemic changes in the educational framework of our schools.

Our commitment to public education and our work to make it equitable is rooted in the belief that a democratic and civil society should offer educational excellence to all its citizens. We believe the health of a community is tied to its public schools.

We are part of a national network of parents and concerned citizens united to foster and support public education. PPS National Organization has an organizational presence in over 20 states.
